Personal Evangelism Seminar

I am a certified personal evangelism instructor. I have taught evangelism seminars in numerous locations in many parts of the United States and internationally.

Years ago I was reading a book on personal evangelism. The author made a very profound yet eye opening statement. He stated that only approximately 5% of believers in any Christian Church actively share their faith. When I read that statement I thought that it had to be inaccurate or even irrational. I made it a point to conduct a faith sharing survey in my home church. The results were staggering! I discovered that a very small percentage of believers share their faith and in fact, the five percent statement wasn’t so profound and might even be a bit conservative!

There are two major reasons why people don’t evangelize: fear and not knowing how.

A delicate balance exists between motivating believers in evangelism within their “comfort zone” and obtaining visible results afterwards, without using high pressure tactics. The response to the seminar has been so positive that individual people and entire families are coming to Christ the very next week after attending the seminar, as participants feel confident and competent sharing Christ with the lost. With the present madness and uncertainty in our world, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Luke 10:2). We need to equip our people with a simple straight forward approach to share their faith outside the Church, in their personal sphere of influence.

The seminar presents a biblical strategy to help the believer graciously converse spiritual truth to the non-believer God has set in their path, and take them as far in the conversation as they are prepared to go without using high pressure tactics.

I received my formal biblical training at Calvary Christian International Bible College (C.C.I.B.C.). I have served as Youth Pastor and Young Adult Minister. I am a certified Evangelism instructor through Evan Tell Ministries in Dallas Texas. I retired after a 30-year carrier working for the State of California Department of Corrections in a custody position. During my tenure with corrections, I was exposed to and challenged by all different walks of life. God blessed me with discernment and wisdom to grow and share His life changing gospel message to the correctional and custodial staff, along with the inmate population, in the most daring and difficult environments.

I am also a published author. My book, RESPECT: IT’S NOT ENOUGH! is filled with my previously mentioned personal encounters with people in the correctional setting, as well as individuals on the street. My diverse life experience is used in a distinct way during the seminar to stimulate the interest and attention, of the students. I have conducted the seminar at numerous places inclusive of: Bible study groups, Churches, Correctional Institutions, Christian colleges, retreats and internationally in Belize, Africa and Mexico.

My wife Judy and I share together in the organization and operation of the seminar function. After being lifelong residents of California, we now live in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.

The Personal Evangelism Seminar takes approximately 4hrs.

Example:

10:00am – 3:00pm with the host providing lunch. Works well on Saturday.

5:00pm – 9:00pm with breaks after each session. Works well on a weekday.

Financial Arrangements:

1. Registration fee is $20.00 per person or $30.00 a couple to be remitted to the instructor the day of the seminar, along with a love offering to be conducted by the host organization, at the conclusion of the seminar.

2. The host organization pays the travel expense and meals to and from the seminar location for the instructor and his wife, if applicable.
